Kathmandu, Jan. 8 : CPN (Maoist) leader and former minister Lal Bahadur Bishwakarma is undergoing treatment at the ICU after his health condition deteriorated. Bishwakarma, who is suffering from brain stroke, is undergoing treatment at Blue Cross Hospital, Tripureshwor on Thursday.
Bishwakarma, who has a permanent home in Kanchanpur, was brought to Kathmandu on December 7 after a sudden health problem. Former Assistant Minister for Population and Environment Bishwakarma was the then CPN (UML) Kancharpur District Secretary for nine years and is currently a central member of the CPN (UML). He is also a former member of the National Assembly in Vishwakarma. His health condition is critical, family sources said.
